The Arc will celebrate success during its 2012 Annual Meeting and Election of Directors on November 14 at its Harsco Center in Penbrook beginning at 5:30 p.m.
During the event, The Arc’s Executive Director, Barbara Jumper, will highlight the successes that The Arc has experienced in the last year, and share information about new programs and future goals. Guest speaker Yvonne Husic, Esquire will present about legal issues often faced by people with intellectual disabilities and their loved ones.
One feature of the program will be an awards presentation recognizing partners in The Arc’s newly redesigned programming for school aged students with special needs. The program provides intensive training in the areas of career preparation, wellness & nutrition, and on-the-job work experience. Award winners include:

The event is open to the public and will include musical entertainment by Bronwen Tagoe, a young lady with disabilities, and light refreshments.
