Annual Art Show
In March The Arc of Dauphin and Lebanon Counties highlights National Mental Retardation Awareness Month with the
Annual Art Shows in Strawberry Square, Harrisburg and at the
Lebanon Valley Mall. The shows feature the talents of people with
mental retardation in our communities. As part of the art shows,
prevention fairs to educate parents and the public on the causes of mental
retardation and preventative information are offered. There is often a
presentation of Kids on the Block, an educational puppet program that
develops inclusive attitudes among second graders. Each art show
culminates with an awards ceremony at which county government leaders are
invited to speak.

Deadline for entry: February 12, 2008 at your local office of The Arc.
All artwork will go on display February 25, 2008.
